Editorial policy
The rules we hold ourselves to. They exist to keep one promise: the advice on this site is the advice we’d give a friend, not the advice that pays the most.
Independence
No manufacturer, retailer or brand pays us for coverage, placement or a ranking, and none sees our copy before it is published. We are funded by affiliate commissions (see our affiliate disclosure), and the commission rate on a product has never decided where it ranks. When the cheaper product is the better buy, it wins — even though it usually pays us less.
No fabricated data — a standing ban
We never invent prices, star ratings, review counts, specifications, or test results. Prices come only from the live Amazon price layer, dated on the page. Product photos are the real Amazon images. We publish no customer reviews or star-rating markup, because we have no customers to review us and inventing one would be a fabrication. Our editorial scores are our own judgments from documented research, and we label them as such — never as lab measurements.
No testing claims we can’t back
We do not have a test lab, and we never write “in our testing” or “we tested 40 drivers” as though we own a robot. Where a claim depends on measured performance we don’t have, we say so and link the people who measured it. Our full method is here.
Health and body claims
Golf gear for seniors touches on real medical questions — arthritis, plantar fasciitis, back strain. We never give medical advice in our own voice. Every health claim is cited to a named authority and linked, and every health guide carries a plain reminder to talk to your own doctor or physical therapist before changing how you play.
How products are chosen and removed
We include real, currently-sold products chosen for how well their published specs suit a senior golfer — not by what pays best. When a product is discontinued or no longer sold, we remove it or mark it, rather than leave a dead link earning nothing and helping no one. If our spec-best pick isn’t available on Amazon, we say so rather than substitute a worse product just because it’s buyable.
Corrections
We get things wrong, and when we do we fix them. If you spot an error — a wrong spec, a bad price, a discontinued product, a ranking you think is off — tell us. We’ll correct the page and update its “last verified” date to reflect the real re-check.
Updates
Prices are checked continuously; spec tables quarterly; product line-ups twice a year and on major releases; health guidance annually against the cited source. We update the visible date on a page only when we have genuinely re-checked it.
